Pizza contains a lot of foods that can cause some allergic reactions to your dogs such as onions, cheese, green pepper and a lot more depending on the kind of pizza. Most food that dog’s should not eat are found in one serving of pizza and it would be best to avoid feeding pizza to your dog. Though it is not really dangerous to let your dogs eat pizza, it is the substances that it’s in that makes it dangerous. A dog that is lactose intolerant can experience diarrhea with just one slice of pizza. Some dogs might even get stomach ache or might experience GI upset because of the onions or green peppers.
If you don’t want to have problems with your dog in the future, it would be best not to give them any kind of pizza. Even the simple crust of pizza can cause vomiting and constipation because of the high amount of flour and salt used it in. If you are planning to serve pizza as a treat for your dog, it would be better to choose another treat like fruits or cheerios. They are healthier that pizza and almost all vets have agreed that it is safe to feed to your dogs.
