Can dogs eat papaya?
you may ask yourself can my dog eat papaya?
Dogs can eat papaya!
Yes they can. Papaya is also good for your dogs especially if they are suffering from flatulence. Papaya also has enzymes that aids in the digestion process not just for humans but also for your dogs. It also has rich in potassium, fiber and vitamin c which helps boost your dog’s immune system.
If you are planning to give your dogs some papaya as a treat, keep in mind that you do not need to cut it into smaller pieces. It might even be better to serve it in a large piece since some dogs tend to swallow the food they are eating without even properly chewing it. Small pieces of papaya can block your dog’s airway which can cause choking. It is also recommended that you remove the seeds before giving them to your dogs. Some experts even say that the seeds contain cyanide which can be fatal to dogs when ingested. The small seeds of papaya tend to also cause intestinal obstruction and sometimes surgical intervention is needed just to remove a single seed.
If you will also be serving papaya to your dogs, make sure to ask your veterinarian the recommended daily savings you can give. This can prevent any problems like indigestion, stomach ache and diarrhea.

My 11 1/2 pound dog has had diarrhea on and off for a few days. I read papaya enzymes can be given to dogs. How much and how often can I give her the enzyme.
Paw Paw seems to work well for dogs with mild colitis, along with some probiotics.Squish some of the Paw Paw in with the meal if the dog wont take it whole from your hand.Mine wont take it from my hand but does not seem to notice it mixed in the food.
seeds from papaya can be very harmful to dogs, make sure you remove all the seeds first!
