Vegetables are generally safe for your dogs as long as it came from the supermarket or vegetable stores. Vegetables that can be found in your garden can be quite dangerous for your dogs. These vegetables can also contain toxic substances compared to the vegetables being sold at the market or stores.
If you want your dog to eat some vegetables, it would be best to add small pieces of vegetables into its meal. Most dogs would not want vegetables just as humans do. However, there are other ways on how to prepare the vegetables in order for your dog to enjoy it. You can make some vegetable juice and put it in the freezer to make some ice cubes which can be a tasty treat for your dogs. You can also add some bits of vegetables in your dog’s meal so that the taste of it will be disguised by other foods.
If you want to feed your dog with vegetables, make sure you do it in moderation since some vegetables can cause diarrhea, constipation, indigestion and stomach ache if consumed frequently and in large amounts.
