Can dogs eat squash?

you may ask yourself can my dog eat squash?

Dogs can eat squash!

Squash can definitely be part of your dog’s diet. Squash is rich in vitamin A which enhances your dog’s eyesight. It can also be a good supplement for dogs who are suffering from blurring of vision. It is also rich in vitamin C which boosts the immune system. Squash is also a good source of fiber which is recommended for dogs suffering from constipation.
Squash can be healthy for dogs only if you serve them in the right amount and in moderation. It will be best to ask your veterinarian first as to how many servings can you give your dog and how often.
There are different ways on how you can serve squash to your dogs and one of them is by slicing it and then putting it inside the freezer. This makes the squash crispy while at the same time cold which will be a perfect treat for your dogs. You can also serve it in a larger slice in order to prevent your dog from choking. Whatever way of serving you choose, make sure to remove the seeds first before serving it to your dogs. Squash seeds can cause intestinal obstructions which will need immediate surgical intervention.
