you may ask yourself can my dog eat seaweed?

Dogs can eat seaweed!

Seaweeds are generally safe for your dog if given in moderation and in the right amount. Seaweeds are rich in vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B12, potassium, iron, and iodine. It is also rich in fiber which would be very helpful if your dog is suffering from constipation.
Seaweeds can be quite healthy for your dogs but make sure to ask your vet first since some dogs might have a hard time digesting it and can cause stomach ache and even vomiting in some cases. Large servings of seaweeds often leads to choking since most dogs will just swallow it without even chewing since it is soft in texture. Over feeding your dogs with seaweeds can also cause severe diarrhea which when left untreated can be fatal to your dogs. It does help in the excretion of waste products but too much excretion in a short period of time can lead to dehydration.
There are some ways in which you can serve the seafood without worrying that it can cause airway obstruction to your dog. Serve it in small pieces and add it in your dog’s diet. Smaller pieces can prevent it from obstructing the airway while at the same time still receiving the nutritional content of seaweeds.
